What we collect
- Account data: your email address, display name and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password).
- Content you create: stories you submit and items you save.
- Security data: your IP address is recorded briefly (up to 24 hours) to rate-limit logins and sign-ups and prevent abuse.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in and protect forms from forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Third parties
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Videos on the Media page are not loaded from YouTube until you click play; after that, YouTube's privacy-enhanced (nocookie) player is used and YouTube's own policies apply. Links to studies and books take you to external sites with their own policies.
What we don't do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Your email is never shown publicly; only your display name appears on published stories.
Your choices
You can change your display name and password, and permanently delete your account and all associated data, from your account page at any time. Questions: editor@carnivoredieting.com.
